Why Ember McLain?
I had a friend who decided to go as Danny Phantom to Anime Central, and when I heard about his plans, I had to join in! I generally stick to doing heroes, but decided to mix things up and do a villain this time!
Ember is pretty cool as far as villains go- not only is she voiced by Tara Strong, she's also just got amazing style, a wicked awesome song, and the coolest weapon, her guitar! Plus her hair is to die for, though for obvious reasons I can't light mine on fire, haha. Ember, you will remember her name!

About This Costume
Ember was mostly a found item cosplay. The pants were bought online, and the tube top was altered from a tube top dress. The boots were bought online, and I used a paint marker to paint the skull on the front of the platforms. I also bought a pair of gloves, and that rounds out all of the bought/altered clothing and accessories!
The ponytail holder, choker, and bracelet are ribbons with black sequin trim. The belt is silver belting with dome studs hand installed. Lastly, the guitar was a cheapo prop made out of foam board, craft foam, and silver belting for the strap.
As for the body paint, it did not work out as well as I had hoped! It was such an unpleasant experience that I actually haven't done body paint since this costume, hahaha! Maybe one day I'll revisit that and try to do paint again.
