Why Starfire?
Growing up watching Teen Titans, I've always admired the whole gang, of course Starfire and Raven being among them! I did this costume on a whim by recycling my old Jhudora cosplay. For being that I only had access to scraps, I feel like it came out pretty swell!
Although I completed this cosplay many years ago, I haven't taken it to cons because parts of it are a little fussy to wear for extended periods of time, such as the stockings. I do hope to bring it out to an event eventually, but I was fortunate to be able to soft-debut it by doing a photoshoot with Gillian Foxglove's Raven cosplay in fall of 2022!

About This Costume
This cosplay was made using all on-hand materials, the purple fabric of which was recycled by chopping up my old Jhudora cosplay. The silver fabric is a mystique spandex which I had around from other past cosplays. The wig I had also have for several years, like since 2011 or so. I did some light styling and trimming around the bangs.
For the green gems, I did the resin casting myself, and made worbla rings to set them in. The rings are covered in additional silver mystique spandex. They velcro on and off so that the costume can be thrown in the washing machine. Additionally, the silver collar goes over the purple top as a separate piece that uses snaps to stay in place.
